WATCH ISSF: Deeper than you Imagine
Food security. Healthy oceans. Thriving economies.
It’s surprising how much those ideals depend on the remarkable creatures we call tuna.
So opens an ISSF video that offers an inside look at our cooperative work to mitigate the impact of ocean fishing and more.
On the occasion of the 2017 Our Ocean conference this week, hosted by the European Union in Malta, ISSF applauds the collaborative work that is bringing positive change for long-term ocean health. We invite you to learn more about how ISSF and partners contribute to these important efforts.
NEWS: Common Oceans
ISSF is proud to work with the Common Oceans Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction (ABNJ) Tuna Project, a five-year project funded by the Global Environmental Facility (GEF) and implemented by Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), aimed at improving the sustainability of tuna fisheries and conservation of biodiversity in the ABNJ.
FAO and the Common Oceans ABNJ Program recently launched a regular newsletter, filled with information, news and insight on the various activities undertaken by the four projects that make up the Program.
ISSF encourages our readers to subscribe to the Common Oceans Newsletter to follow important developments toward ocean health.
