Associated set
The group of fishes caught when a fishing gear is deployed within an area where the school of tuna is aggregated under a floating object. The characteristics of the catch made in the presence of a floating object, whether a log or a FAD, tend to be similar, and scientists tend to group them into the category “Floating object set.” In recent years, the term “FAD set” has also been used interchangeably.
