Principle 1–Sustainable fish stocks
Principle 1 of the MSC Fisheries Standard according to which a fishery could be certified as sustainable if it is managed in a manner that does not lead to over‑fishing or depletion of the exploited populations or, for those populations that are depleted, that demonstrably leads to their recovery.
