Description

ISSF prepared this position statement for consideration at the 16th regular session of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC), which will take place December 5-11, 2019. The statement covers topics in these categories: tuna conservation; fish aggregating devices (FADs); harvest strategies; bycatch and sharks; monitoring, control, and surveillance; and compliance.

The statement also includes ISSF’s top “asks” or requests of WCPFC, along with a list of ISSF’s global priorities for all RFMOs.
