7.3 Purchases from PVR Vessels — Purse Seine

Processors, traders, importers, transporters, marketers and others involved in the seafood industry shall:

1. If purchasing skipjack, yellowfin and bigeye tuna caught by large-scale purse seine vessels (in round fish, frozen loin, or finished goods format) for all trips beginning on or after May 1, 2016 (May 1, 2025 for April 8, 2025 product type clarifying amendment), ensure that 100% of those vessels are on the ISSF ProActive Vessel Register.
2. For the purposes of this measure, large-scale purse seine vessels are those at least 335 m³ fish hold volume.
